Around how much would a 2000 audi A6 2.7T secondary air pump cost to repair?

Recently I posted a question regarding potential issues that are causing my 2000 Audi A6 2.7T quattro 'check engine' light to go on and i got a couple good answer. Anyway, i got the car checked and they said it's a secondary air pump that needs repaired. The cost will be $1,200 dollars. I believe, from what I read, that this isn't too uncommon of a problem, and that it doesn't cost nearly that much to repair or even get a completely new one put it. So, validation of the what the price should be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
