I just got accepted into an LPN program in Troy, NY. Are there any specific preparations I should make?

Any helpful insight as to what to expect? Helpful tools I should buy/use to make the program go more smoothly? Scholarships/grants my FA advisor may not make me aware of? Steps to take to ure quick job placement after graduation? Thanks for any good input...
