Im scared to ask my mom when can i start datin wat should i do?

i am 12 yrs old almost 13 and i have a boyfriend and he keeps askin me to go to the movies ect. with him! but i didnt tell my mom i have a boyfriend! so im scared to ask her when will she start letting me go do stuff with ppl! cuz she so clingy to me and shes way over protective!! and how do i tell her i have a boyfriend? this is really confusing? any advice would help!
